New NHVR Loading Guides Available Online

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) is progressively releasing a series of loading guides for heavy vehicles on its website.

The loading guides provide tips and tricks to help industry better understand the principles of good load restraint. The guides have been designed for parties in the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) to print out and display in their workplace to increase awareness, or to be placed in loading manuals as a quick reference.

The NHVR has released a total of 12 guides to far, which are available here: NHVR load restraint resources.

All draw extensively from the 2018 version of the Load Restraint Guide itself, which is also available for download at the link above. Further guides will be added as they are developed.

These resources join HVIA’s own online ‘Load Restraint Fundamentals’ training course, available to anyone in the transport industry via HVIA’s website here: https://www.hviatraining.com.au/.

The course has been completed by hundreds of persons within the transport industry since it was released during the Brisbane Truck Show in May last year.
