Vehicle Standards Bulletin 1 (VSB1) – light trailers

The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications has finished it’s review of Vehicle Standards Bulletin 1 (VSB1) which covers the construction of light trailers (less than 4.5T ATM).

HVIA understands that several of our members are active in the light vehicle sector, and it is important to be aware  of the revised VSB 1 which can be viewed here.

As those member who are active in the sector may be aware, DITRDC had been reviewing VSB 1 over the last 18 months.

There are a number of important clarifications and requirements that have been included, such as expanded information on lighting and how to certify and identify imported trailers amongst other items.

Members active in this sector are strongly encouraged to review the revised VSB 1.
