TAFE Queensland’s free isolearn micro-credentials

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, TAFE Queensland, in conjunction with the Queensland Government, is offering a range of free education and training to support individuals, and small, medium and large businesses.

The isolearn micro-credentials courses are designed for individuals who are looking to gain a new skill, adding weight to their resume, and ideal for anyone looking at a career change or restart.

TAFE Queensland’s micro-credentials are short, highly targeted courses designed to help you improve a specific skill.

Our micro-credentials will help you improve your career prospects, maintain currency in your field, or allow you to try out something completely new.

Our isolearn micro-credential range is completely free, delivered 100 per cent online, and are self directed. Typically they take an hour or so to complete, but if you like, take your time, or do more than one.

Transport (Driver Skill set

Develop the essential, entry-level skills you need to work in transport operations as a driver. This skill set will give you a real leg-up for jobs across the heavy vehicle, transport and logistics industries.

You’ll lean how to shift loads safely using manual handling methods, calculate manual load shifting requirements, follow and apply work health and safety procedures, apply fatigue management strategies, and interpret road maps and navigate routes.

You’ll also discover how to complete workplace orientation and induction procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace operational policies and procedures.
