New Round Of NHVR’s HVSI Grants Poised To Open

Projects focused on the key themes of safer drivers, safer vehicles, and safer road use eligible for funding in the latest round of grants set to open on November 20

Submissions for the latest round of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator’s Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative (HVSI) program open next week.

The HVSI program commenced in 2016, and in that time has invested more than $38 million in grant funding across 150 separate projects.

These projects have included valuable work undertaken by some of HVIA’s members, and HVIA itself.

Unveiled earlier this year, HVIA’s new online training courses covering Load Restraint Fundamentals and Best Practice Tyre Management were both funded through HVSI grants.

All projects must address at least one of the key themes of safer drivers, safer vehicles, and safer road use.

Submissions for round nine of the HVSI grants program will open on November 20, 2023 and will close on February 19, 2024.

The submission guidelines will be available on the NHVR’s website on the opening date.

Further information including tips and tricks, and recordings of previous webinars, is available here.

HVIA are more than happy to review grant applications and provide letters of support for members, please contact Adam Ritzinger on a.ritzinger@hvia.asn.au to discuss.
