New guidance note: Moving from MVSA to RAV

The Department of infrastructure has just released updated the guidance material on Adding a vehicle manufactured and/or imported under the MVSA to the Register of Approved Vehicles.

HVIA’s manager of Policy and Government relations says the RVSA transition period is coming to an end on 30 June.

“It is vital that manufacturers and importers understand the transition rules to avoid getting caught out,” Mr Forbes said.

Guidance note—Adding a vehicle manufactured and/or imported under the MVSA to the Register of Approved Vehicles.

Following feedback from HVIA members at the most recent RVSA Industry Webinar, the guidance note has been updated to clarify the department’s position regarding unconditional registration of a MVSA-plated vehicle as being one of the circumstances where that vehicle is considered to have been provided.
