HVNL review: consultation period extended

The closing date for submissions to the HVNL review consultation regulation impact statement (RIS) has been extended until Friday 20 November 2020.

Don’t miss out on this chance to have your say on the proposed options you prefer and shape the future Heavy Vehicle National Law.

There are three ways to provide feedback:

Five-minute overviews of key options in the consultation RIS

The NTC is releasing a series of short explanations of key HVNL reform options and how they might affect you. They complement the RIS and the HVNL 2.0 document.

These explanations give you a quick insight into the reform options under consideration, and invite your views. They will all be posted by the end of the week. See them on the HVNL review website.Watch short explainer clips

Next steps

The feedback you provide will be considered when finalising the policy options to present to ministers for approval in the first half of 2021.

You can also read HVNL 2.0, a complementary guide that is less technical and aims to provide an example of what a future HVNL might look like.

There are also fact sheets on key topics.
