Casual Employment Information Statement (CEIS)

Have you provided your existing casual employees (employed before 27 March 2021) with a copy of the CEIS yet?

If you are a small business employer, you need to provide a copy to all existing casual employees as soon as possible.

All other employers must provide a copy to existing casual employees as soon as possible after 27 September 2021.

Employers are still required to give every new employee a copy of the Fair Work Information Statement before, or as soon as possible after, they commence with the employer. However, employers must also give every new casual employee a copy of the CEIS at the same time.

For more information on recent industrial relations reforms and changes to casual employment, see Employer Assist’s previous articles or contact Employer Assist to discuss further.
