Factory tour gives Lord Mayor insights into HV manufacturing

HVIA President John Drake shared his views on how to encourage growth and innovation in the local manufacturing industry during a visit to The Drake Group’s Wacol facility by Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner last week.

The trailer manufacturer grabbed the opportunity to not only showcase its cutting-edge manufacturing processes but also highlight potential areas where Brisbane City Council could extend support to the manufacturing and transport sector.

Joining the Lord Mayor were guests including Sarah Hutton, councillor for Jamboree Ward, and HVIA CEO Todd Hacking.

The “engaging and insightful” discussion explored thoughts and suggestions aimed at fostering growth, innovation, and sustainability within the industry.

The Drake Group expressed their gratitude to Lord Mayor for taking the time to visit its facility and for his commitment to understanding the challenges and opportunities within the manufacturing and transport sectors.
