GLT Strikes Strategic Partnership With NTI

HVIA member GLT has struck a strategic partnership with NTI Insurance, joining Australia’s largest insurer of trucks and trailers’ Premium Repair Network.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Premium Repair Network now comprises around 25 truck repairers across the country, some 40 local repairers nationally specialising in light-duty vehicle repairs and around 33 trailer repairers Australia-wide.

By designating GLT as a preferred repairer, NTI Insurance is providing the trailer manufacturer’s customers with a streamlined claims process and access to expert trailer repair services.

The partnership is expected to significantly reduce repair times, minimising downtime for transport operators and ensuring their businesses continue to operate smoothly.

GLT CEO Shay Chalmers says the collaboration is a valuable part of the Brisbane-based company’s strategy to extend the lifespan of trailers through efficient repair and maintenance, ultimately reducing waste and environmental impact.

“We are proud to partner with NTI Insurance offering customers a comprehensive solution for trailer repair and maintenance. This collaboration aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainability and our focus on extending the life of our trailers for customers,” she says.

GLT has a proven track record of providing exceptional service and support to its customers, including ongoing parts supply and repair services for trailers more than 15 years old. This commitment to longevity is a testament to the company’s dedication to quality and durability.

In addition to this partnership, Chalmers says GLT is actively pursuing sustainable initiatives to minimise its environmental impact.

The company has undertaken a comprehensive sustainability benchmarking process, including the quantification of carbon emissions baselines and life-cycle analysis of its products.

GLT is also exploring the potential of low-carbon materials, such as alternatives to aluminium and steel, and investigating emerging electrification technologies.

“Sustainability is a core value at GLT,” Chalmers says. “We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and developing products that are both durable and have environmental impact in mind. Our partnership with NTI Insurance is just one example of our dedication to a sustainable future.”

GLT offering unparalleled support for its customers and their trailers. Even older models, such as a 2009 trailer that underwent a complete revamp and refresh at their facility just weeks ago, are not forgotten.

Chalmers says the company is committed to keeping its products on the road for as long as possible. This dedication to longevity helps to ensure that their customers can maximise the return on their investment and together, work towards a more sustainable future.
