Director John Thompson retires from HVIA Board

HVIA Director John Thompson has stepped down from his position as HVIA Director following the sale and handover of his interests in Borcat Trailers Pty Ltd to long term business partner Paul Gallagher.

John has been on the Board since 2017 and has been Chair of HVIA’s New South Wales State Committee as HVIA’s membership has grown across the region.

HVIA President John Drake praised his contribution to the organisation ever since Borcat joined in 2016, shortly after HVIA was launched as a national organisation.

“John has been a great ambassador and volunteer for our industry and for HVIA during a period of rapid growth,” Mr Drake said.

“He has made valuable and insightful contributions to industry policy strategy, and he has been a collegial and judicious contributor to the governance of the organisation.

“I thank John for his generous service and contribution.”

HVIA Chief Executive Todd Hacking thanked John for on behalf of HVIA’s staff and members.

“I want to sincerely thank you for your advice, support, dedication and contribution to our organisation and the broader industry,” Mr Hacking said.

“You will be missed; we sincerely wish you well in the future.”
