New grants support participation in business events

HVIA is pleased to share with you the Australian Government’s announcement this morning of a $50 million injection into Australia’s vital business events sector ahead of the 2021 Brisbane Truck Show.

The grants will help cover costs associated with exhibiting including the hire of exhibition spaces, the design and manufacture of displays, travel and accommodation.

Under the Business Events Exhibitor Grants program, Australian businesses exhibiting at an approved business meeting, convention, conference and incentives event in 2021 will be able to apply for upfront grants to cover up to 50 per cent of their costs ($10,000 – $250,000).

The government sees this as a vital strategy for economic recovery that not only serves the business events sector but presents businesses such as yours with opportunities to connect with and secure new customers.

We whole-heartedly agree with Minister for Industry, Science and Technology Karen Andrews who says the investment will assist businesses with their resilience.

“Connecting businesses through trade shows and conferences will help unlock widespread collaboration and boost domestic capability,” Ms Andrews said.
