Caltex joins HVIA as Principal Partner

Australian fuels and lubricants icon Caltex has joined Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia as a Principal Partner alongside NTI and Wurth.

Caltex is a global brand owned by Chevron, one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies which has been present in Australia for more than 70 years.

HVIA Chief Executive Todd Hacking said the partnership comes at a time when both organisations are going through major growth across Australia.

“The timing could not be better to formalise our partnership with Chevron Australia Downstream and its Caltex fuel and Caltex Delo lubricant brands,” Mr Hacking said.

“These sorts of partnerships are built around common objectives that benefit the organisations and the people we serve.

“In both cases, our strategic direction is to grow our value proposition for our vital industry; and to assist our members and customers so they get on with running productive, sustainable and profitable businesses.”

Chevron’s National Retail Fuels Manager Tim Rankin said he looked forward to working closely with HVIA to help better educate members about fuels and lubricants.

“Caltex is focused on making customers’ experience simple, smart, and seamless,” Mr Rankin said.

“It’s about offering a warm and friendly service, together with our specially formulated fuel system-cleaning ingredient Techron® which is available in every Caltex fuel grade.”

Mr Rankin said Chevron is rebranding most of the Puma service stations it operates in Australia to Caltex – a brand trusted by generations of Australians and the world over.

“The new Caltex has landed in Australia and we’re bringing a new service station experience, plus the lubricants range loved by the transport industry, Caltex Delo,” he said.

One of the immediate benefits for HVIA members will be access to unique Caltex Delo and Caltex StarCards offers.

“The all-new Caltex StarCard is the fleet card that puts fleet owners in control,” Mr Rankin added.

“StarCard’s fleet management system is fully adaptable to a company’s needs and allows fleet owners to choose from a variety of control and usage options. It is designed to give operators greater security and added value in managing their fleet.”

Caltex Delo® has been delivering end-to-end protection to critical diesel engine parts for over 80 years and Calex Delo® ISOSYN® Technology combines premium base oils with high-performance additives to deliver outstanding performance for customers.

The announcement was made today at the South Bank Truck Festival with the opening of the Caltex Truck and Trailer Showcase.

“From the latest EV trucks to specialised transporters and revolutionary high-productivity trailers, the South Bank Truck Festival is the biggest one yet,” Mr Hacking said.

“The Caltex Truck and Trailer Showcase also features great road safety messaging with the ‘Don’t muck with a truck’ and the ‘Look beyond the truck’ campaigns both activated there.

“Alongside that are two brilliant community service vehicles – the Heart of Australia b-double mobile clinic and the Healthy Heads Roadshow.

“Thanks to Caltex’s support, the showcase at Little Stanley Street and Stanley Street Plaza provides an invaluable opportunity for us to demonstrate the progress that our industry is making to innovate and deliver sustainable and productive transport solutions for Australian conditions,” Mr Hacking said.

“Between this amazing showcase, a Diamond Partnership with the Brisbane Truck Show and Caltex’s commitment as an HVIA Principal Partner, we are absolutely excited about what we can deliver together for the industry.”
