The Fair Work Commission (FWC) is scheduled to announce its 2021-2022 annual wage review (Decision). Following the wage review, the FWC may announce a wage increase before 1 July 2022

HVIA congratulates the Australian Labor Party on forming Government under new Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Chief Executive Todd Hacking said the new Government has put forward a policy platform that has the potential to revitalise Australian manufacturing.
Thank you to outgoing Government
HVIA has commended the outgoing Government on its open door to the heavy vehicle industry, and its guidance of the country through the worst of the COVID pandemic. Chief Executive Todd Hacking said the Government had been particularly collaborative as the country grappled with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

HVIA-LITE: Collaborating to understand EV duty cycles
HVIA’s LITE Project steering committee met with the Queensland Transport and Logistics Council (QTLC) and the authors of their report “Addressing barriers to zero emissions trucks in Queensland to 2025,” to discuss its recommendations for stakeholders from the heavy vehicle industry; in particular the need to understand the duty cycles of heavy vehicles as a key to identifying the applications where zero emission heavy vehicles (ZEHV) can be successfully deployed.
