EOI Called For $100m Truck Electrification Funding

Zenobē has officially opened Expressions of Interest for its $100 million truck electrification funding initiative, inviting heavy vehicle fleet operators across Australia to participate in the Zenobē Fleet Electrification Program.

The program, announced at the Freight Forward conference last month, is designed to accelerate the transition to zero-emission transport by removing upfront cost barriers and simplifying the electrification process for medium and large commercial fleets.

The funding is structured to provide operators with a seamless pathway to electrification while ensuring commercial viability. Program benefits include:

> Zero upfront infrastructure costs;

> No upfront capital costs for vehicles or charging assets;

> Reduced peak electricity demand and lower operating costs;

> End-to-end project accountability, from design through to operation; and

> No-cost feasibility studies, design and commercial proposal development, with transparent pricing provided upfront prior to commitment.

The initiative is open to organisations that:

> Operate medium to large heavy commercial vehicle fleets in Australia;

> Have depot-based operations or predictable duty cycles, including end-to-end heavy haulage routes; and

> Are planning fleet electrification within the next 12 to 36 months.

Key industries expected to benefit include logistics and freight, waste and municipal services, bus and passenger transport, and service and utility fleets such as energy, industrial and construction sectors.

“Our goal is simple, to make the transition total cost of ownership neutral so the sustainable choice is also the commercial one,” Gareth Ridge, Country Director for Australia and New Zealand at Zenobē, says.

Fleet operators can find out more about the program and submit an Expression of Interest here.
