‘Driving The Future’: TSX26 Delivers

TruckShowX 2026 has been judged an unbridled success, with a record 463 transport industry leaders attending this week’s landmark conference and expo to “share ideas, challenge assumptions, showcase innovation and, most importantly, help shape the future of freight and transport in Australia”.

“This year’s theme — ‘Driving the Future’ — could not be more relevant as our industry navigates transformational change in technology, sustainability, productivity, safety and supply chain disruption,” Todd Hacking, CEO of organiser HVIA, said in his opening address.

Held at the sprawling Rydges Resort Hunter Valley in regional New South Wales, the conference featured more than 60 of the industry’s leading thinkers, operators, suppliers, innovators and technical experts sharing their expertise, insights and real-world experiences over the two-day event.

Attendees heard insightful presentations from leading operators including Russell Transport, Toll, Multiquip, Centurion, AJM Transport, Team Global Express, Wettenhalls, FBT Transwest, HW Richardson, SGS Logistics, Divall’s, Fraser’s Livestock Transport and New Energy Transport sharing first-hand how they are embracing the latest innovations, technologies and processes to reduce operating costs, boost productivity and cut emissions.

Complementing these real-world case studies, key suppliers – from truck and trailer OEMs including Daimler Truck, Volvo, Hino, Cummins, KRW Hydron, Freighter and Sunswap, to charging solutions providers such as NewVolt, Zenobe, EVSE, GoEV, JET Charge and Kempower, and technology providers such as Allotrac, Geotab, WHG and BetterFleet, to fuel suppliers including Viva Energy and Hiringa – showcase their cutting edge products.

Critically, attendees heard updates from key policy makers and regulators including Transport for NSW and NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water and finance providers ranging from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency and Clean Energy Finance Corporation to ANZ Bank.

In between the sessions, attendees flocked to TruckShowX’s jam-packed expo featuring 40+ market leaders showcasing the latest in trailer equipment, future energy, telematics, powertrain technology, vehicle charging and safety systems (check out the full lineup here); and its unique drive day offering the rare opportunity to experience an on-road test drive of the latest low- and zero-emissions vehicles on offer in Australia (see the full lineup here).

In his closing address, Hacking said the conference had delivered on its promise of sharing potential solutions to the key challenges facing the heavy vehicle industry, especially fuel security and decarbonisation.

“When I stood here two days ago, we talked about the need to create an ecosystem, to challenge ways of thinking and challenge each other, and develop new ways of decarbonising the industry. And we’ve certainly achieved that,” he said.
