HVIA recently celebrated a display of the world-class skills, techniques and equipment employed by the Australian manufacturing sector to build the best trucks, trailers and equipment in the world at Australian Manufacturing Week in Melbourne.
The previous exhibition and conference in 2023 hosted 348 exhibitors and attracted more than 15,000 attendees. The 2025 exhibit showcased six product zones including machining, additive manufacturing, a special Australian manufacturer’s pavilion, and robotics and automation.

Chief Technical Officer Adam Ritzinger and National Manager for Skills, Training and Workforce Development Michael Rose visited the expo, and caught up with HVIA members including Capral Aluminium, Australia’s largest extruder and distributor of aluminium extrusion, plate, sheet and coil and treadplate products, and supplier to many of HVIA’s truck and trailer body builders – as well as SuperiorPak and 3M.
Adam and Michael also engaged in productive discussions with representatives from NSW, Victoria and Queensland governments on identifying opportunities to promote, grow and support the heavy vehicle manufacturing sector in those states. The show also highlighted manufacturing skills available for Australia – a positive for a workforce that typically doesn’t get the recognition it deserves!
