ROVER Update To Reduce Data Duplication

The ROVER team has announced that ROVER Release 11 will be deployed from 3:00pm to 10:30pm (AEST) on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

ROVER is an administration system for the Road Vehicle Standards (RVS) legislation which is utilised for vehicle and component approvals in alignment with the Australia Design Rule (ADR) Requirements.

Key updates in this release include the introduction of a new Register of Approved Vehicles (RAV) validation for entries added by authorised vehicle verifiers, the implementation of a streamlined RAV corrections process, and the standardisation of motive power field options across all application types.

In addition, ROVER will include enhanced document management by storing only a single authoritative version of each unchanged supporting document for approved variations, while retaining all new or updated documents, including system-generated records. This update will prevent ongoing duplication and reduce unnecessary storage costs that are ultimately recovered from industry and helps maintain system performance as application volumes grow.

The ROVER team will demonstrate how to submit RAV entry corrections and share details closer to the event. Users will receive an email notifying them of these updates.

For any users who may have questions, the next RVSA industry webinar will be held Thursday, May 30. Interested parties can register here.
