Record Turnout At HVIA Member Forums

HVIA has kicked off its 2025 Member Forums with record member turnout at events held in Queensland and New South Wales over the past week.

Proceedings kicked-off in NSW on Wednesday, February 20 at ZF Services in Blacktown, with the Queensland event held at HVIA’s headquarters in Seventeen Mile Rocks on Monday, February 24.

Excitingly, both events set new records for member attendance in each state, indicating that HVIA members are more engaged in key industry developments than ever before.

The HVIA team provided updates on key advocacy, regulatory, technical and policy issues, as well as a run-down of the 2024 HVIA National Awards, a Brisbane Truck Show 2025 update, the announcement of the return of the BTS Tech Tours for 2025 and Todd Hacking’s CEO report.

Specific topics covered included: HVIA’s response to the Federal Department of Infrastructure’s ADR Harmonisation Review; a summary of feedback from the member survey; various regulatory updates – ROVER, RVCS and HVNL; a full run-down of HVIA’s recent working group achievements and forward work program; and upcoming ADR consultations and changes.

HVIA also welcomed Robert King, Partner at Cornwalls Law, who presented insightful, impactful and relevant recent legal cases on CEO liability.

HVIA’s Victorian and Western Australian Member Forums will be held this week and are again set to see new attendance records set.

Member meetings are the best way to ensure you are aware of all the major changes and updates impacting Australia’s heavy vehicle industry. As always, any employee from any of HVIA’s member organisations are invited to attend.

All Member Forums are advertised in this newsletter and registration can be completed online.
