Record Attendance At Q1 Member Forums

HVIA members rounded out last week with two exceptional Member Forums that again broke attendance records for Western Australia and New South Wales.

The WA Forum was held for the first time at Bruce Rock Engineering, where attendees were also treated to a tour of the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, opened in 2023.

The 3,000-square-metre facility is equipped with innovative technologies and specialises in plasma cutting, 3D laser cutting, beam fabrication and automated welding.

Seeing BRE’s highly customised trailer chassis components coming to life from raw materials was a highlight.

The NSW Forum featured a site tour of Zenobē’s battery electric truck charging hub, an Australian first, located in Mascot, near inner Sydney.

Zenobē’s charging hub allows commercial fleet operators to charge their vehicles and is the charging point for Woolworths’ new electric fleet, for whom Zenobē is also leasing the electric trucks – taking away risk and minimising capex investment that would otherwise have been needed to deploy the fleet.

HVIA thanks Bruce Rock Engineering and Zenobē for offering their time and facilities, and all HVIA members for their attendance and engagement. Discussions at each of the forums will help HVIA’s technical advocacy and efforts in a wide range of areas.

HVIA will build on the success of these events and expand them further for the next round, scheduled for capital cities in August 2026. Keep an eye on the Member Forums page on the HVIA website for more information.
