HVIA staff took the opportunity last week to meet with key National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) staff at its headquarters in Brisbane.
HVIA Chief Engineer Rachel Michaud, Chief Technical Officer Adam Ritzinger (pictured above), and newly-minted Chief Advocacy Officer Aaron Johnstone met with staff from the NHVR’s engineering, access, policy and Performance Based Standards (PBS) teams.
A range of topics guided by recent and past conversations with members formed the agenda, which covered PBS approval times, Information for Approvers and Certifiers (IPACs), combinations pre-approved by the PRP, national notices, PBS digitisation and the latest Directional Stability Under Braking (DSUB) developments.
There are a number of notable items that HVIA will release to members via working groups and in Talk the Torque newsletter articles in the coming weeks.
HVIA regularly engages with stakeholders at all levels, aiming to meet with key personnel within the NHVR, the Federal Department of Infrastructure, and the National Transport Commission at least twice a year.
