NHVR Offers PBS Scheme Webinar

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) will host a 45-minute webinar on Wednesday, July 29 at 1:00 pm (AEST) on Australia’s Performance Based Standards (PBS) scheme, to update industry on recent changes and new initiatives.

Interested HVIA members can register for the webinar here.

The webinar will be led by the NHVR’s Lead Mechanical Engineer for PBS, Saizo Takeuchi, pictured above left.

Participants can expect to learn about how the PBS scheme is currently performing, changes coming under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) update on August 1, updated NHVR guidance documents, and an update on the PBS digitisation project.

Participants can also ask questions, and are invited to submit questions in advance by emailing pbs@nhvr.gov.au.

HVIA reminds members of its ongoing PBS Working Group, which currently boasts 25 members across truck, trailer, component/equipment suppliers, and engineers/certifiers.

Persons interested in joining the group should contact HVIA’s Chief Engineer Rachel Michaud at r.michaud@hvia.asn.au.
