Meet Shayne, one of the inspiring recipients of a 2026 Tradeswomen Australia Apprentice Scholarship, proudly supported by the Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA).
As a mum of two young children, Shayne knows every dollar counts. Like many apprentices, she’s balancing family responsibilities while building a career in the trades.
Thanks to HVIA’s support, Shayne can invest in the tools she needs to succeed, while also receiving 12 months of mentoring to help her thrive throughout her apprenticeship.
“The mentorship for the 12 months is going to be amazing!” she says.
Scholarships like this do more than provide financial support, they help remove barriers, build confidence and keep talented women in the trades.
TWA warmly thank HVIA for investing in the future of Australia’s skilled workforce, as well as our other generous 2026 Scholarship Partners: Insignia Financial Community Foundation, Equity Trustees PCM Trust, Sisters of Charity Foundation, Transurban, HVIA, NAWIC Victoria, Construction & Mining Equipment Industry Group (CMEIG), Zenviron, Brickworks Building Products and The Panzer Foundation.
Could your business help create another success story like Shayne’s? By partnering with Tradeswomen Australia to fund an apprentice scholarship, you’ll make a real difference to the lives of women and gender-diverse apprentices while helping build a stronger, more diverse trades workforce for Australia.
