2025 is a very special year for HVIA! It is the 10th anniversary since the former CVIAQ board effected the change to a national organisation.
HVIA will celebrate this milestone at our Gala Dinner on December 4, 2025 at the home of the Brisbane Truck Show, the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Mark this momentous event in your diary now and please join us with members of your team, customers, family and friends for what promises to be a memorable and meaningful celebration of our shared achievements.
We will again be conducting our National Awards on that evening and celebrating the industry. Our goal is to have over 400 industry attendees come together to celebrate another great year. It is a great way to reward staff, or perhaps bring customers to a sheer celebration of the industry.
HVIA’s first decade as a national organisation was about getting the right balance, between acknowledging our history and celebrating the legacy of CVIAQ, whilst also unashamedly growing as we spread our wings into new unchartered waters. I believe we’ve done that.
There is no doubt that we have changed a lot with a new magazine in ROADBOSS, a new conference in TruckShowX, and an expanded Brisbane Truck Show footprint called Truck Week which delivered an all-time record attendance of 54,790 attendees in 2025.

We have also been able to add new personnel and extra resources, and increased services to support our membership, which has doubled in the past five years alone.
All of this is not possible without HVIA’s five Corporate Partners who have assisted the journey: NTI, Caltex, Wurth, Geotab and Truckline.
What has remained the same, though, is our passion to support our members, our enthusiasm to showcase the industry’s best and an unwavering commitment to achieve our Purpose: To promote and advocate for an innovative, safe, productive and sustainable heavy vehicle industry.
As an industry, we are strong when we unite. When we can stand behind our purpose identified above and celebrate our industry. The HVIA Board is as dedicated as ever and supportive of our new Strategic Plan and many exciting developments underway.
Coming off our biggest-ever Brisbane Truck Show, I know HVIA’s best years lie ahead and that is only possible because of the loyal, unwavering support of our members.
