HVIA Airs Plan For Tyre and Inflation Guide

HVIA’s re-formed Tyre and Inflation Working Group will produce a new ‘Best Practice’ guide in 2025 – the second in a new series of ‘Best Practice Guides’, focussing on tyre pressure monitoring and tyre inflation technologies.

Members involved in tyre manufacture and supply, tyre management and tyre technologies provided expert advice to HVIA in 2023 for its ‘Tyre Management’ training course, which now sits alongside HV101 and ‘Load Restraint Fundamentals’ in the HVIA Training Portal, and has been completed by hundreds of industry professionals.

That group will again work together in 2025 to produce the second of HVIA’s ‘Best Practice Guides’, focusing on the importance of tyre pressure, and the technologies available in the market that assist in keeping it at the optimum level.

HVIA’s first ‘Best Practice Guide’ focussed on heavy vehicle pit safety in workshops, and received broad praise from the industry.

“The ‘Best Practice’ formula is a great way of educating both inside and outside our industry on the tools and methods available to improve what we do,” says Adam Ritzinger, HVIA Chief Technical Officer.

“We’d like to continue to replicate that, and tyre inflation will be a fantastic topic for the second edition.”
