The Victorian Government is supporting a female and gender diverse specific trade fair in Melbourne for 2026 and 2027. The expo is free and will be held less than a month away on June 2-3 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Trade and Tech Fit Career Expo is filled with interactive and hands on activities and workshops across a wide range of industries. It is targeted at female and gender diverse school students from years 7–12 considering a trade or tech pathway. As this is government supported, exhibitors are not charged fees for exhibiting. We encourage any businesses in the heavy vehicle industry who think they can contribute to consider reaching out to organisers for further information.
In 2025, 56 per cent of student attendees said they are now more likely to consider a career in trade or tech, with a further 42 per cent saying they might consider it. Some 85 per cent of student attendees said booths and displays were informative and easy to understand.
