The HVIA Executive Club gathered in Melbourne last week, surrounded by a stunning array of supercars and other unique and collectable classics, valued at more than $50 million.
The Fox Classic Car Collection is housed in the historic Queen’s Warehouse in Docklands, adjacent to the Kangan TAFE Automotive Centre of Excellence, which played host to the HVIA Board and subsequently to the HVIA 2024 Annual General Meeting.
The collection is owned by Lindsay Fox, patron of Healthy Heads in Trucks and Sheds, HVIA’s charity partner.

HVIA AGM attendees joined other HVIA Executive Club members, where Senator Jess Walsh spoke about the Australian Government’s work in the skills and training space and its support for proactive initiatives being driven by the heavy vehicle industry.
Senator Walsh was introduced to three Victorian-based nominees in the HVIA National Awards apprentice categories, praising their chosen career path and encouraging them to be inspired by the leaders in the room, many of whom had started their careers as apprentices.
Attendees also heard from the Industry School’s Lee Smith about its expansion plans into the heavy vehicle arena, and HVIA Vice-President Miles Crawford who gave a vote of thanks, and introduced guests to newly elected HVIA Director Shay Chalmers (see story here).

Miles also recognised the apprentices Glenn Schembri, Danny Spurr and Adam Pearsall, telling them that their nomination in HVIA’s National Awards signalled great things for their futures.
The HVIA Executive Club meets around Australia several times a year and has continued to be a great informal forum for industry leaders to come together and share ideas.
