Workforce and skills shortages are still one of the most pressing issues facing the industry.

As such HVIA CEO, Todd Hacking was delighted to be afforded the chance to join a panel for the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations online Jobs Showcase: Transport and Logistics.

Along with the Women in Transport Australia CEO, Lyndal Denny and PACCAR’s Manager of Talent Acquisition and People Experience,  Kate Sykes, the panel spoke to 1750 job seekers, employment advisers, RTOs and careers stakeholders to present an accurate picture of the industry.

Mr Hacking said the panel dispelled myths and promoted the industry as an inclusive, rewarding and incredible career, full of opportunity.

“The panel were able to provide advice on the career opportunities, the types of roles, and how to get started in the amazing local industry that we are all proud to represent,” he said.

“It was also another opportunity for HVIA to spruik our standalone careers website truckjobs.online.”
