On November 7, the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator issued an update to its National Roller Brake Testing Procedure.
The new procedure is available for download here.
The revisions include a refreshed template, improved appearance and clarified information, and better usability without altering the core content of the procedure. The revision also enhances testing procedures in line with the National Heavy Vehicle Inspection Manual (NHVIM).
Following a two-stage rollout that was communicated to industry earlier in the year (and is summarised in Vehicle Standards Guide 21) the NHVR reminds industry that all roller brake testers used for compliance testing purposes were required to meet updated standards from August 1, 2024.
HVIA would like to highlight its wide range of members providing heavy vehicle roller brake testing equipment and related service, which include:
> Levanta
