Registrations Open For Special HVSAPS Webinar

All HVIA members are welcome to attend a webinar and Q&A on Victoria’s new Heavy Vehicle Structural Assessment Permit System (HVSAPS).

The webinar – to be delivered by Ian Mond, Manager of Land Freight Systems at Freight Victoria – will be held on March 19 at 2:00pm AEDT (Melbourne time).

Members will hear more about the new permit system which was launched on January 12 and automates up to 85 per cent of bridge assessments for state roads in Victoria.

The system significantly reduces assessment and response times, eliminating structural assessment fees for industry, and facilitating easier access pathways for high productivity B-doubles, A-doubles, and many other Performance Based Standards (PBS) vehicles.

Ian will take participants through an overview of the HVSAPS portal, explain how access is now managed in Victoria, and how it impacts industry and those utilising the PBS scheme.

Members are invited to submit questions to Ian ahead of time, which can cover general questions about system function, planned fixes and also what the future may look like for automated access with the implementation of PBS Digitalisation and the NAAS. All pre-submitted questions should be directed to r.michaud@hvia.asn.au.

Significant investment was made by the Victorian Government to support the development and implementation of HVSAP and you can read more about it here.

All PBS Working Group members will automatically receive an invite to the webinar.

If you are a member and not part of the PBS Working Group, but wish to attend this webinar for information, please email r.michaud@hvia.asn.au.
