Earlier today HVIA concluded the last round of State Committee Meetings for the year with the Victorian meeting held at CMV Truck and Bus in Derrimut.
The Victorian meeting was particularly well attended and provided a great opportunity for HVIA’s new Chief Technical Officer Adam Ritzinger to reconnect and engage with HVIA members.
This round of meetings has generated substantial interest with lively discussion on the Class 3 Truck and Dog Webinar which HVIA held in conjunction with the NHVR in November, and the release of the PBS tyres policy and PBS 2.0 discussion paper by the NHVR (also in November).
HVIA Chief Executive Todd Hacking provided members with updates on the HVIA awards and Truck Show planning.
We finished the meetings off with a guest speaker from the Kangan Institute who presented a wide range of ground-breaking TAFE training equipment and courses that will upskill the industry in electric and hybrid powertrain fault diagnosis and repair.
HVIA will finalise the plans for next year’s State Committee Meeting in the coming weeks and will publish the dates early in the new year.
