Proud Australian company (and HVIA member) KOR Equipment Solutions celebrated three major milestones at a customer and supplier event in Melbourne last week.
Fifteen years of operations in Australia, the delivery of its 1,000th Cappellotto vacuum truck and the 100th Schwarze sweeper were the focus of the event, each reflecting the customer trust and strength of the partnerships that the KOR team has built along the way.
Company founder and Director Stephen Pewtress, and Director Marcus Birrell, were joined by Managing Director Jason Wall, and also Cappellotto CEO Edoardo Marcon, who flew all the way from Italy to join the celebration.
The Cappellotto products are available on a range of truck chassis and can be suited to many industrial and commercial applications requiring vacuum loading, hydro excavation, drain cleaning and dangerous goods handling. Sustainable water recycling capabilities are also available.
The Schwarze sweepers feature unique locally designed and manufactured dual-control systems, which are a testament to the local skill of the KOR engineering team. They can be adapted to suit a range of street cleaning and general maintenance applications.
HVIA’s Chief Technical Officer Adam Ritzinger joined Steve Cusworth, KOR Head of Operations, for a close look at the Cappellotto and Schwarze models on display.
“The Cappellotto products look stunning, both far away and up close,” Adam noted. “The quality of manufacturing and thoughtful approach to design is front and centre in every aspect.
“Not to be outdone though, the dual-control systems on the Schwarze sweepers produced by the local team look every bit original. It is so impressive to have this level of vehicle engineering design and production capabilities right here in Melbourne.”
KOR supports its customers via a series of established sites across Australia and New Zealand in industrial hubs close to customers. Each site holds a full suite of spare parts, a mobile service van and qualified technicians.
