HVIA’s Trailer Wiring Working Group will meet online on Thursday, June 18 to discuss options for updating the trailer wiring arrangements in ADR 42/05, with a view to achieving industry consensus on a proposal that will be put to the Department of Infrastructure at its next Vehicle Standards Consultative Forum (VSCF) meeting in Canberra this coming September.
Due to the widespread impact of this reform on HVIA’s members, particularly those involved in trailer and dolly manufacture, HVIA is calling on members to nominate themselves for the Trailer Wiring Working Group.
Working Group participation is not onerous and can be the best way of simply staying informed and ahead of potential changes. Importantly, it gives member businesses the opportunity speak up and share their views.
Contact HVIA Chief Technical Officer Adam Ritzinger at a.ritzinger@hvia.asn.au to join the working group and discuss the proposal.
This year, the number of HVIA Working Groups has grown to 12 total, which reflects the volume of proactive advocacy work being undertaken by HVIA’s technical and advocacy staff. The full list of HVIA Working Groups is shown on HVIA’s website.
