HVIA Releases State Committee Meetings Agenda

HVIA releases detailed agenda for next round of state committee meetings to be held in QLD, NSW, VIC and WA in late October – register now!

HVIA’s final round of state committee meetings will be held across the major capital cities in late October – and the recent regulatory announcements that have caused a stir are front and centre.

The agenda for the October meetings features the following:

  • Developments on truck width increases, and possible next steps;
  • HVNL review – mass increases for Euro VI trucks, changes to dimensions;
  • State-based axle mass limit increases for decarbonisation;
  • HVIA’s industry project – Leading the Transition to Electromobility (LITE) – presented by HVIA’s new Chief Advocacy Officer, Dr Adele Lausberg;
  • Technical topics – VSB6 update, 3G network shutdown, powered trailers, tag trailer mass ratio, tow truck wheel lifts, and more;
  • ROADBOSS magazine launch and first copies available; and
  • TruckShowX – HVIA’s flagship zero-emissions industry event for 2024.

Each meeting will also feature a short presentation from Aaron De Rozario, Executive Leader of Regulatory Reform at the National Transport Commission, who will explain the NTC’s HVNL consultation Regulatory Impact Statement (C-RIS) and take questions from members.

As always, all staff from any of HVIA’s member organisations are welcome to attend. Attendees consistently enjoy the chance to get up to speed on the important developments in their industry, as well as the informal networking with colleagues and friends over morning tea.
