In exciting news, HVIA’s 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner on Thursday, December 4, 2025, will extend our long-standing recognition of 50-year continuous members with two additional milestones: 25-year and 10-year continuous membership.
HVIA Chief Executive Officer Todd Hacking says each of these companies “has made a conscious and deliberate decision to back our industry and to unite as a collective, strengthening our voice and our impact. I am proud and delighted to recognise these companies.”
“We will be acknowledging all of these organisations on the night to reflect the significance of their contribution. I strongly encourage all members to join us for what promises to be a memorable evening of celebration with colleagues, peers and customers.”
Hacking adds that HVIA has made the decision to make a big deal of the night – and with good reason.
“More than 80 per cent of industry associations don’t make it through their first decade. HVIA is not one of them. We’re growing and we’re heading into our most exciting chapter yet,” he says.
“One of the key reasons for our success is the legacy and foundations laid by the CVIAQ between 1970 and 2015. We must never forget that. In fact, recognising this legacy was the original reason for the 50-year milestone – and it gives us great joy to now extend that acknowledgement to our 25-year and 10-year members as well.
“Nationalising HVIA was absolutely the right decision. The early years were tough – building a new brand, implementing systems and processes, and rising above a crowded, established landscape, but now, as we enter our second decade, we’re ready for the next evolution of HVIA.

“Everything we do is with our members front of mind. But we also know we couldn’t do any of it without their loyalty – not just financial, but the in-kind support, advice, intelligence and lived experience that strengthen our ability to advocate for change.
“I understand December is a busy time, and that travel isn’t always easy – especially in a tightening market – but I sincerely hope members celebrating 10- and 25-year continuous membership will be able to join 400+ industry peers as we celebrate our first decade and launch the next.”
To be held at the home of the Brisbane Truck Show, HVIA’s 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner will also incorporate the annual Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia National Awards, which will celebrate the outstanding people, innovation and leadership driving Australia’s heavy vehicle industry forward across a suite of award categories, including:

In 2025 the awards will also recognise the rising stars of the industry across three trade pathways:
