HVIA Attends US’s Largest Truck Event

HVIA’s National Events Manager Kay Marco and Chief Advocacy Officer Aaron Johnstone are attending this week’s Work Truck Week in Indianapolis – North America’s Largest working truck event.

The annual, four-day event is hosted by NTEA – the Work Truck Association and features 500+ exhibitors, OEM updates, and new vehicle technology trends.

It brings together chassis OEMs, fleets, upfitters, equipment manufacturers, distributors, truck dealers, engineers and product leaders to see innovations, exchange knowledge and build partnerships.

For more than 25 years, this event has evolved from a traditional trade show into a dynamic, industry-wide experience.

HVIA has been hosted at the event by our counterpart association (the NTEA) and have been able to get a crucial “behind-the-scenes” look at the event. This will be extremely useful for organising arrangements for the 2027 Brisbane Truck Show and Truck Show X.

“Having the opportunity to visit Work Truck Week and see the similarities and differences in our shows is so valuable for our planning,” says HVIA National Events Manager Kay Marco.

“The team at NTEA have been so open and helpful. In return, we have extended an invitation for them to come and see Brisbane Truck Show next year,” Kay adds.

A number of HVIA members are also exhibiting at Work Truck Week, with Kay and Aaron meeting with Cummins for a tour of its stand later this week.

Their attendance at Work Truck Week builds on their visit to North America’s largest construction trade sho, Conexpo-Con/Ag, in Las Vegas the previous week, where they learnt about the latest in industry and transport innovation – including autonomous vehicles and the underground ‘Vegas Loop’.
