Heavy Vehicle Statutory Write-off criteria

Austroads has approved guidelines for assessing damage on heavy vehicles to decide if they should be declared a statutory write off.

The new guidelines will prevent these vehicles from being re-registered and would mean they can only be used for parts.

Members involved in the insurance or repair of heavy vehicles should familiarise themselves with the guidelines.
