HV Test Centre Design Feedback Sought

Industry feedback is being sought on a number of preliminary site designs for the new Future Mobility Testing and Research Centre (FMTRC) planned to be constructed in New South Wales.

In August HVIA reported on plans for the new centre catering for heavy vehicles. The FMTRC will be located in the town of Cudal, and is being designed and built by Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW).

The FMTRC team has prepared a number of preliminary site designs, and while the designs are not public, they are seeking feedback from industry and can provide the preliminary designs on a confidential basis.

HVIA encourages interested members to contact Adam Ritzinger, HVIA Chief Technical Officer, at a.ritzinger@hvia.asn.au who can facilitate member review and feedback of the proposed test facility designs.

Alternatively, members can contact the FMTRC team directly at western.projects@transport.nsw.gov.au to discuss the suitability of the designs for heavy vehicle testing and validation purposes.
