
The HVIA National Apprentice of the Year Award, sponsored by Wurth Australia is awarded to an individual who has demonstrated advanced ability as they undergo their apprenticeship in a discipline related to heavy vehicle repair, service or the manufacturing sector.
The nominee will have demonstrated high-level performance, an enthusiastic attitude and will be able to articulate their future industry employment goals.
The 2022 National Apprentice of the Year Award winner was Hunter Tapping of Brown and Hurley.
Nominations for the 2023 HVIA National Awards close Friday 25 August 2023.

Hunter Tapping – Brown & Hurley

According to his mentor, Hunter Tapping has always shown a passion for the industry from day one.
“As Hunter said, he loves helping people when they need it the most; with this attitude and commitment, I believe Hunter is the perfect nominee for the apprentice of the year.
“Hunter has told me from a very young age that he has always liked working with his hands. So when the opportunity came up to work with Brown and Hurley in the trucking industry, he knew this was his calling.
“Hunter has been dedicated to being the best apprentice he can be for the whole duration of his apprenticeship.”
