The Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance (AUSMASA) is undertaking independent research to understand and address skill shortages facing the Australian automotive industry.
The Alliance is one of 10 Jobs and Skills Councils (JSC) funded by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations dedicated to fostering collaboration between the mining and automotive industries, driving skills development, and ensuring a skilled workforce for the future.
To gain a better handle on skills shortages, AUSMASA has partnered with Fifth Quadrant, an accredited market research agency, to gain insights from a broad range of workers across the industry, in particular, women, First Nations people, individuals with disabilities, and Gen Z.
The survey is open for feedback from Wednesday, 26 June until Friday, July 19, 2024. Complete the survey here.
Additionally, phase two of the research will include in-depth interviews with industry insiders including industry bodies, training providers, employers, the existing workforce, career advisors and advocacy groups. Register interest in this second phase here.
