HV Crash Expert To Address HVIA Member Forums

The next round of HVIA Member Forums to be held across Australia throughout August will feature a presentation on the latest heavy vehicle crash statistics from NTI Transport Research Manager Adam Gibson.

Adam is the author of National Truck Accident Research Centre’s Major Accident Report, the definitive annual report on heavy vehicle incidents, and has recently been seconded to the National Road Safety Partnership Program (NRSPP) under a new collaborative partnership aimed at boosting research into truck safety.

The August forums will build on an extensive schedule of HVIA activities already in motion for 2024.

As always, all staff from any of HVIA’s member organisations are welcome to attend. Attendees consistently enjoy the chance to get up to speed on the important developments in their industry, as well as the informal networking with colleagues and friends over morning tea.

The agenda – available here – will touch on many topical areas, and will include:

  • A review of HVIA feedback to the recent NSW and VIC freight strategy/policy documents;
  • National regulatory updates – ROVER, RVCS and the HVNL;
  • Options for HVIA’s Federal Election manifesto, and request for member input; and
  • Trailer wiring and powered trailer working group updates.
