The Safety Innovation Award was held for the first time in 2019. This award allows HVIA members to either nominate a safety product, safety feature or safety system that has been brought to market or implemented to make your product(s) or workplace safer.
So this award is open to both – an in house solution which is making your workplace safer or a new product, technology, or piece of equipment which is making your product range safer for your customers or the heavy vehicle industry.
As this is an Innovation Award, the bulk of the scoring is for originality, so be mindful to address how innovative the solution is in the heavy vehicle industry, also remember to tell us how it works, the process involved and how effective it has been.
When addressing effectiveness – the more information, statistics you can provide the better.
It has to be operational to be eligible for nomination and the judges love to see pictures/video to help them understand.
