Australian Manufacturing Week Heading To QLD In 2026

Queensland has been successful in its bid with the Australian Manufacturing Technology Institute to bring Australian Manufacturing Week to Brisbane in 2026.

This will be the first time the event will be held outside of Sydney or Melbourne and will present an opportunity for local manufacturers to showcase their capabilities.

Australian Manufacturing Week brings together industry innovators and technology specialists from around the world, and the event serves as a vital networking and professional development opportunity for anyone working in the sector.

It is expected thousands of delegates and more than 150 exhibitors will flock to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre for the week-long celebration.

Queensland Manufacturing Minister Glenn Butcher says the event is an “incredible opportunity” to showcase the state’s thriving manufacturing sector, which includes significant heavy vehicle manufacturers such as Volvo Group Australia’s regional production plant at Wacol.

“The Queensland Government has track record of not just attracting events to this state, but also providing unrivalled support to their success and the 2026 Australian Manufacturing Week will be no exception,” he says.

“There’s no doubt we’re the envy of other states and manufacturers are moving to Queensland because we’ve created an environment to set them up for success.

“Manufacturing is the backbone of the Queensland economy, contributing $20 billion a year and supporting local regional communities through jobs and business growth with nearly 180,000 Queenslanders make their living in the industry.”
