HVIA Releases Heavy Vehicle Workshop Pit Safety Guide

HVIA has released a Workshops Service and Inspection Pits – Safety Guide, the first release in its new ‘Best Practice Industry Guide’ series.

The guide can be downloaded here and will be joined by further guides exploring similar ‘best practice’ areas in the heavy vehicle industry in years to come.

HVIA worked extensively with its members on the development and creation of the guide, both through its regular Member Forums, and via a targeted working group comprising members offering pit safety solutions and/or equipment that can be deployed to eliminate the need for workshops pits completely.

Adam Ritzinger, HVIA’s Chief Technical Officer, is proud of what has been achieved with the guide, and is looking forward to working with other members to develop more guides.

“This guide really highlights the benefit of using the collective wisdom and solutions offered by our varied member base to benefit everyone,” he says.

“I strongly encourage members wishing to be involved in future guides to put forward topics.”

HVIA would specifically like to thank the following contributing organisations: MAHA Australia, RUD Australia, National Automotive Equipment Services, Precision Automotive Equipment, Levanta, Nexion Group and CMV Group.
